Pink Lake       Port Gregory

Lynton Historic site (1853)

Port Gregory lies near the mouth of the Hutt River on Western Australia's coral coast and is home to the Pink Lake (Hutt Lagoon). Depending on the time of day and the cloud cover, the lake changes from red to bubble gum pink, to a lilac purple. The best time to see the lake is mid morning or sundown.

Kalbarri is located at the mouth of the Murchison River, on the Western Australian coastline. Its known for it's seaside cliffs, estuary beach and the wild pelican feeding. The coast is home to resident dolphins and the seasonal humpback whales, seen from a boardwalk running between Island Rock and Natural Bridge.

Taking a tour out to Mingenew and seeing some of the historical buildings are not complete without taking in the beautiful vistas you see from Mingenew Hill, with the ever bright yellow of the canola (when in season around August) with the blue ski and the abundance of wildflowers, this is truly a sight not to be missed during our visits, for the wildflower season.

Geraldton is a coastal city in the Midwest Region of Western Australia, 424 kilometres north of Perth. The port of Geraldton is a major west coast seaport as well as an important service and logistics center for regional mining, fishing wheat, sheep and tourism.

Geraldton to Chapman Valley , Northampton and home.

Situated Northeast of Geraldton and travelling through the Moresby Ranges with an ancient landscape formed some 50 million years ago, with the unique shape making it an interesting view from the top of Mills Lookout.  Next stop is the Chapman Valley Museum in the sleepy Nanson Hamlet that is a treasure for any budding anthropologists. As with most towns in the Midwest region, Chapman Valley is home to some beautiful historic Churches. The twisting and hilly ride make it a perfect destination for a day out on the bikes.  Leaving  Nabawa we take the Northampton/Nabawa road to the historic town of Northampton, classified in 1993 with the National Trust of Australia. The original name called "The Mines", Northampton was gazetted in 1864. Next a short ride back to Geraldton  via the Great Northern Highway.

When on a motorbike ride no one ever ask's
" Are we there yet?"

Take a trip back in time with an overnight tour to Sandstone, laying approximately 500km east of Geraldton. Sandstone is a picturesque town, rich in gold rush history, it is one of the best places on earth to experience spectacular sunsets and the glory of the night sky. The darkness of the outback sky and clear atmosphere make it a brilliant location to stargaze. The Sandstone Brewery was constructed in 1907, it was built on top of a breakaway, close to where the cliff drops 30-40 feet. Other natural attractions include London Bridge, believed to be 350 million years old and the Peter Denny Lookout. During the wildflower season, July - September the landscape is transformed from rich red earth to a carpet of colors.
